About Us

Founded by Mr. I. R. Kapoor, an ex-IAF officer in 1958, Chromewell began as an electroplating unit in Mumbai and diversified into sheet metal components in 1960, specializing in stampings, deep draw, and fabrications for the automobile and off-road vehicle sectors. Today, with advanced manufacturing facilities in Pune and Dewas, Chromewell delivers high-quality sheet metal solutions while continuously adopting new technologies to meet evolving industry needs.

Our History

1958

Founded by I. R. Kapoor, Chromewell began its journey as an electroplating unit in Mumbai. 

2003

Expansion to Pune -
Shifted our manufacturing plant from Mumbai to Pune, marking the beginning of a new phase of growth and operational expansion. 

2015

New Plant Inauguration at Dewas – Successfully inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dewas to strengthen production capabilities and regional presence. 

2017

Entry into Global Steering Technology – Chromewell further diversified by forming a joint venture with Coram Group, creating Coram Chromewell India Private Limited.

2024

New Plant Inauguration at Pune -
Expanded operations further with the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pune. 

2025

In-House Powder Coating Facility
- Established a dedicated paint shop in Pune for in-house powder coating, enhancing quality control and manufacturing efficiency.
